Paul J. Derkasch, Esq. has been an attorney for the Council of Administrators and Supervisors (CAS) for over 20 years, and General Counsel to the Empire State Supervisors and Administrators Association (ESSAA) since its inception.

A graduate of Rutgers University (Class of ’66) Paul earned his law degree from St. John’s University, where he specialized in labor and arbitration law. He is admitted to practice in the State and Federal Courts, and, in fact, appeared on behalf of our members and/or their Associations in both forums.

Paul is a member of the Labor and Municipal Law Committee of the Suffolk County Bar Association; a Charter Member of the Labor Law Committee of the New York State Bar Association; and a member of the Long Island Labor and Industrial Relations Association.

Additionally, Paul represents us in arbitrations and defends our members in disciplinary matters before the Commissioner of Education and before the Public Employment Relations Board on matters affecting collective bargaining and the enforcement of our statutory Taylor Law rights.

Paul and his wife, Gail live in Northport.
